I cracked my 2010 Supreme and 2013 Meta AM pretty quickly after purchase. I have a love/hate relationship with Commencal. The wanks have skimped on the BB bash guard, downtube protector and chainstay protector on the alloy model. Less tyre clearance, less shock clearance. Nicer frame layout for water bottle + enduro carries. No trunnion shock, only the basic damper cartridge in the fork + shock (Select+ models)
Geo and trunnion shock are on point.ĭownsides: 2.5wk wait time, no discount for 2019 model. Best suspension and brakes, everything else is awesome too. I think the Transition is probably the best pic. 2019 Transition Sentinel, Alloy, GX build ģ. The contenders I've found: (Note, the only one that isn't an internet purchase is the Hightower)ġ. I'm planning to spend October in the Pacific North West, so I could just buy a beefier fork for my XC bike for now and get something over there? But means I'm missing most of Norway's Summer and restricting myself to a little bike in the interim. Bike availability in Norway is significantly reduced compared to Australia / North America 2020 models are being released, but no one is discounting 2019 models in Norway. External cables preferred, and minimal, so shock cables can f*ck off (Lock Out, TwinLock, ShapeShifter, etc) All day geometry (seat post angle, etc)

bag free (water bottle, options for tool + tube carry) Burly, so I don't have to be afraid of smashing it through the odd DH track or bike park. 29" wheels, I think? so that I can share tyre size with my XC bike Favour my money going into suspension and brakes, as long as everything else is sturdy I don't care about bling. Alloy frame with good spec, twist my arm for a carbon frame if its perfect for everything else. Trail bike that can take the occasional Enduro race. plan on traveling to race a few Trans(NZ, BC, Madera, etc) enduro type races, sample some Euro bike parks (and Maderia, etc) comfortable riding burly on less travel relocated to Norway (the flat part in the south) at the start of the year, left my Enduro bike in NZ
